And publishing great content is how you convert those users into fans, subscribers, clients, or customers.

But how do you make sure you’re providing them with the best content possible?

And how can you do that while still:

  • Ranking well in Google
  • Appearing in AI-generated answers in ChatGPT and AI Overviews

Easy:

With content services from someone with 6+ years of experience writing, editing, and optimizing content for users and search engines.

I’m Chris! An SEO and content expert with 6+ years in the industry, ready to help you create better content

What Content Services Do I Offer?

Content Writing

I deliver publish-ready blog posts and articles that rank in Google and convert readers into customers. Every piece goes through my editorial process before you see it, so you're getting writer + editor in one. I value human-written, well-researched content that serves your audience.

Content Editing

With years of editing experience across millions of words, I catch grammar issues, factual errors, weak arguments, and off-brand messaging before your content goes live. Whether you're managing freelancers or reviewing in-house work, I ensure consistent quality and tone of voice.
Work With Me

Content Strategy

I map out what content you actually need, who it's for, and how it supports your business goals. This includes keyword research, competitor analysis, search intent mapping, and content calendar planning. You'll get a clear roadmap your team can execute, whether that's me, your in-house writers, or freelancers.
Work With Me

Content Audits

I'll audit your existing content to identify what's working, what's underperforming, and where you're leaving traffic on the table. With technical SEO knowledge and years of experience analyzing content performance, I'll show you exactly which quick wins will deliver the fastest ROI.
Work With Me

Content Briefs

I create detailed content briefs that give writers everything they need to deliver great work the first time, including target keywords, search intent analysis, competitor insights, and structural guidelines. Your writers will spend less time guessing and more time producing content that hits the mark.
Work With Me

Writer Training

I can train your content team on brand voice, SEO requirements, research standards, and editorial processes so their output actually meets your standards. I can provide writers and editors with feedback directly, and develop training materials and SOPs to help you scale quality content.

The Work

What's included in your per-word rate?

My per-word rate for my writing services covers research, outlining, drafting, self-editing, formatting, and up to two revisions based on your feedback. This also includes basic on-page optimization like meta descriptions, logical hierarchical header structure, and internal linking suggestions.

What’s not included: Keyword research (that’s part of strategy or content brief services), sourcing custom graphics or photography (I will make suggestions and include screenshots where applicable), uploading to your CMS, or additional revision rounds beyond the first two (though in practice, my editorial process means major revisions are rare, and I aim to get it right first time).

But if you do have special requests (like uploading to a CMS or conducting keyword research), we can work something out!

$0.10/word is for straightforward blog content where you provide the topic, keywords, and direction. Think informational articles with clear structure and existing examples to follow. Research is lighter, and the content follows proven templates.

$0.35/word is for premium strategic content that requires deep research, unique angles, original data, expert interviews, or complex subject matter. This is content that positions your brand as a thought leader, whether that’s white papers, pillar content, technical guides, or articles where there’s no clear playbook to follow.

In reality, most of my client work is somewhere in the middle: well-researched SEO articles or blog posts that require competitive analysis, multiple sources, and strategic positioning, but don’t need the extensive research or outreach of premium pieces.

Ultimately, pricing reflects the complexity, research depth, and strategic value of the content, not just word count.

Two rounds of revisions are included in all projects. With that said, I aim to get it right the first time by asking clarifying questions upfront and following your brief closely.

In practice, most clients only need one round of minor tweaks (if that), because every piece goes through my editorial process before you see it. I’d rather spend extra time on the front end understanding your needs than go back and forth with multiple revision rounds.

If we’re working together for the first time, I expect the first piece might need more feedback as I learn your voice and preferences. After that, revisions typically become minimal.

Because my entire value proposition is that I don’t do that. If you wanted AI-generated content, you wouldn’t need to hire me. You’d just use ChatGPT yourself, or hire a $0.02/word writer on Fiverr.

I use AI as a research assistant (summarizing sources, organizing ideas, checking facts), but the writing, analysis, and unique angles come from me. You’re paying for my expertise, judgment, and editorial standards—things AI can’t replicate.

If you’re concerned, I’m happy to walk you through my process, share research notes, or explain the thinking behind any piece I deliver. My goal is content that sounds like it was written by someone who actually understands your industry, because it was.

I source images when possible, including taking screenshots and suggesting where custom graphics or diagrams would add value. For screenshots and simple visual examples, I’ll create those myself.

What I don’t do is create custom graphics, infographics, or illustrations from scratch (unless we arrange that separately). But I’ll note exactly where they should go and what they should show, so your designer has clear direction.

If you have a preferred image library or brand assets, just point me to them and I’ll handle sourcing within those guidelines.

No, my focus is on creating and optimizing the content itself, not promoting it after publication.

With that said, I write with distribution in mind. I understand what makes content shareable, how to structure it for social snippets, and what elements drive engagement.

But the actual promotion—social media scheduling, email newsletters, outreach campaigns—isn’t part of my service offering.

If you need recommendations on promotion strategies or want to discuss how to maximize a piece’s reach, I’m happy to share insights. But execution of distribution is on your team.

The Process

What's your typical turnaround time?

I aim to respond to messages within a couple of business hours. For the actual content, most single pieces take 1-2 business days from brief to delivery.

Longer pieces or those requiring extensive research might take up to 5 business days, but I’ll let you know upfront if that’s the case. I don’t disappear, as you’ll always know where things stand and when to expect delivery.

If you have a tight deadline, let me know. I can often accommodate faster turnaround for urgent projects, though rush fees may apply depending on my current workload.

I welcome it! Seriously, feedback makes the work better and helps me understand your expectations for future projects. Plus, I have years of experience as an editor, so I know the value of great feedback.

When you send revisions, I ask that you be specific about what needs changing and why. “This section feels off” is harder to action than “This section should emphasize cost savings over time savings.” The clearer your feedback, the faster I can implement it.

I typically turn around revision requests within 1-2 business days, depending on the scope of changes. For minor tweaks (typo fixes, small rewording), it’s usually same-day.

And if something isn’t working, I’ll tell you. I’d rather have an honest conversation about direction than waste your time (and mine) on multiple revision rounds that miss the mark.

Yes. I’ve worked with Monday, ClickUp, and Notion for various clients, and I’m happy to integrate into your preferred project management system if you need me to. But I’m also happy to work via email, Slack, or any other system you prefer.

Yes, I run every piece through at least two plagiarism detection tools before delivery. This catches accidental similarities and confirms originality.

With that said, I write original content from the start, properly attribute sources, and use my own words. The plagiarism check is just final verification that nothing slipped through.

If you ever have concerns about a specific passage or want to see the plagiarism report, I’m happy to provide it.

As often as you need. Some clients prefer minimal touchpoints, while others want regular check-ins, progress updates, or quick Slack messages throughout. I’m happy to adapt to your preference.

For longer projects, I’ll typically send a quick update midway through to make sure I’m on track. For ongoing work, we can establish a regular cadence (weekly check-ins, monthly planning calls, whatever works).

Bottom line: I’m responsive and flexible. You won’t have to chase me down, but I also won’t flood your inbox if you prefer async communication. Tell me what works for your team, and I’ll match it.

You do. Once you’ve paid for or agreed to pay for the content and I’ve delivered it, full rights transfer to you. You can publish it, edit it, repurpose it, or do whatever you want with it.

I don’t retain any rights to reuse or republish the work elsewhere. The only exception would be if we explicitly agree otherwise upfront (for example, if I’m writing something I’d also like to use as a portfolio sample, I’ll ask permission first).

I’m flexible and can work with your existing payment processes, whether that’s net 15, net 30, or another arrangement.

I accept bank transfers, PayPal, or whatever payment method works for your accounting team. I provide proper invoices for all work and can work within most payment systems.

If you have specific payment terms you need me to accommodate, let me know and we’ll make it work.
